Um I don't know since I was recently diagnosed myself. But I don't really see the point in still using the salt if the sores went away. It could be from the salt but that's just a guess.Itching can be a symptom (not a side affect) of herpes or you could have some irritation from the epsom salts. If it doesn't go away in a few days go back to the doctor and tell them what's been going on.
