is herpes zoster (shingles) contagious to a person who has had a chickenpox?
Yes. Airborne.If you have had chickenpox you should have life long immunity from catching it again. You may get shingles later in life if the virus reactivates.
If you never had chickenpox and come into contact with someone with shingles, you'd be at risk of getting chickenpox.
