you can "treat" oral herpes with Abreva, available over the counter.
to supress the virus, be it oral or genital, there is only the prescription drug acyclovir... also called Valtrex.Acidophilus pills prevent cold sores and canker sores - both of those are caused by the herpes virus. I don't know if acidophilus works for genital herpes. Valtrex is suppose to work really well, but you need a perscription.OH HELL NO!
