Is genital herpes the same as the herpes on your lips and mouth?

Noooooo.... herpes on your lips are from viruses. Genital herpes are much worse because they are sexually tramsimtted ( STDs. ) Either way, both of them never go away.Genital herpes and aural herpes are different. The term is based on where it is easier to transfer from, but you can get genital herpes on your mouth, and oral herpes on your genitals. it is better in fact to get it on the opposite part as it is much less easy to transfer that way, and breakouts are much less common.

You or your boyfriend could have easily gotten genital herpes from a kiss, and then transfer it to genitals during oral sex. It is the most common sexually transferred disease, and in fact many develop an immunity to it.

All forms of herpes are however STD's. Just some are worse than others.HSV1 and HSV2 two different type of viruses very similar. HSV1 is the most common to get orally and HSV2 is most common on or around the genitals. However both are spread about the same way. From direct contact with a infected area.
