How can herpes affect my child if at all?
How can herpes affect my child if at all?
It would be highly unlikely for a person to get herpes simplex 2 (genital herpes) from casual contact such as shaking hands or hugging. For there to be risk of transmission a person would have to come into direct contact with the infected skin and/or sore.Herpes won't affect your child. Bad hygiene doesn't pass herpes, some one would have to have skin contact with the area affected by herpes. Like having oral sex or intercourse with him while he has a break out. It's not going to be passed just by touching or hugging some one that has it. It's very rare to transmit herpes with out having some kind of sexual activity. It doesn't last for more then seconds when it's out side of the body or on objects.
