try rubbing battery acid on themThe HSV can be brought on by stress and certain foods in the diet. I'm sure it is stressful trying to not think about outbreaks or the chance of spread, but the outbreaks may reduce if your wife can manage her stress better. Exercise, meditation, yoga, Qigong or anything that will help to reduce stress. Counseling or therapy can also serve as a good option to help talk things out.

Improving the diet by eliminating all arginine containing foods and increasing lysine containing foods. These amino acids are essential, which means you need to obtain them from the diet, but the are also antagonistic of one another. Therefore increase the lysine and/or decrease your Arginine.

Lysine foods: Can be obtained in supplement (L-lysine); legumes like beans, peas, and lentils. Take supplement all the time as a preventive measure suggested: For adults with herpes infections - take 3,000 - 9,000 mg per day in divided doses. To prevent recurrences, take 1,000 mg 3 times per day.

Arginine foods: ALL nuts, soybeans, eggs, to name a few

Also, there is no cure for the Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV-1 or HSV-2). It ebbs and flows between being dormant and active. The meds you are taking are to prevent outbreaks or reduce the severity, but not cure or prevent the spread of the virus.

Best to you.
