Can you spread the herpes virus when you are on your period & you use a tampon?

Can you spread the herpes virus when you are on your period & you use a tampon?

I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but I'll try to help anyway.

Herpes virus are spread through sexual contact. So if you have sex, whether on your period or not (and whether or not you use a tampon) then you could spread the virus. Condoms will help you prevent from spreading it, but if any of the outbreak is exposed and touches your partner, then you could spread it.

You can still spread the virus even if you don't have a visible outbreak. Taking your medication will help lower this risk, along with using protection. No only sexual, but Herpes can be contracted through your blood.Herpes can be transmitted at any time, whether you have an outbreak or not, but risk of transmission when you do not have an outbreak is very low. Risk of spreading herpes has nothing to do with your period or tampon use. Risk of transmission when you have an outbreak is very high.
