Do not mess around/kiss when he has an outbreak (cold sores etc)..condoms do not protect against getting it. Your taking a chance either way.
Go to the doctor and get a blood test done and they can say whether or not you already have it.
If he "eats you out" yes you can get it down there. No pill will stop you from getting it either.
Good luck.Don't let him kiss you or give you oral sex while he has a cold sore or fever blisters. Oral herpes is very contagious while there are any signs of a visible sore or blister on or around the mouth. You can feel safer to do those things when he doesn't have a break out. There is no pill that you can take to prevent you from getting it. But there is antiviral medication that he can take to help make him less likely to pass it on in between break outs.
You should know oral herpes is very common, it's often passed during child hood by being innocently kissed by some one that has it. There is a chance you could have it all ready, if you do then you have the same thing he does. If you don't then don't kiss him or let him give you oral sex while he has a visible cold sore or fever blister.
