Can early herpes be confused with pregnancy?

Herpes results in painful genital sores, but sometimes you may have some flu symptoms along with it. They are separate issues though. If you're concerned about pregnancy, take a test and find out.Yes, it can definitely be mistaken for pregnancy in the beginning stages. I'm not sure sleeping a lot would be a symptom though. You can always take a pregnancy test to be sure. Muscle aches are definitely part of the beginning stages of herpes.I'm sorry that you've been diagnosed with genital herpes :( If you are still worried that you could be pregnant than I would go out and buy a few pregnancy tests. However, the symptoms you experienced were probably due to the herpes outbreak. I was diagnosed with genital HSV-1 last month and experienced these same symptoms.
