My sis and I rescued 4 kittens that had been abandoned by their mom. At first we thought they were about 3 weeks old as it looked as if their eyes were just beginning to open. All four of the kittens were male. Three were white with orange tipped ears and tails, and the fourth was ginger colored with striking patterning. A quick trip to the Vet revealed they were roughly 7 - 8 weeks old and had Feline Herpes in their eyes. The three white kittens were seriously infected with it. Bugsy, my favorite, had it so severely, the conjunctiva of each eye was badly scarred; however, he still had some vision. Feline Herpes is a virus spread among cats. The Vet said it was not transmittable to humans or to other animals. It's a nasty little virus exclusive to cats. The mother passes it to her babies. She gets it because she is indiscriminate in her choice of 'baby daddies.' . We brought them home, put a special ointment from the Vet in their eyes 3 x per day, fed them, loved them, and watched them turn from scratching, clawing, yowling little terrors into the sweetest, most loving and playful little darlings, ever! For some reason the litter box was their favorite place to play, so my sis and I had to keep it cleaned out and replaced with clean litter several times per day. They had plenty of toys to play with, but the litter box had all of that litter in it they could scratch at and play with and get all over the place. [ ] I'm here to testify about the great work Dr Ehimare did for me. I have been suffering from (HERPES) disease for the past 5 years and had constant pain, especially in my knees.
