How contagious is the herpes virus?
This virus is very contagious, as it can still be transmitted, or "shedded", even if the person is not experiencing an outbreak. Only time will tell if you've been infected.
By the way, is this the same guy who's 25 years older than you and couldn't get it up?You can still get herpes even if he doesn't have an outbreak. I would suggest that you go to the doctor and get yourself checked. Statistics have shown that 1 in 5 people who have herpes and have passed it on without knowing because they never had an outbreak. Even if you think that it is just stress from moving I would make sure you get yourself checked.He does not have to have a visable outbreak for you to contract the virus. There is times the virus is shedding. This is when the virus is active but there is no viable symptoms. If the virus was active you can contract it. You should probably go get tested to be sure. Itching and tingling is things that come along with the virus adn even if you never have a visable breakout, you could still have the virus

It took almost one year for my first real outbreak but it was the hardest thing in the world to get along with. I felt so unwanted and dirty.
