Does A&D ointment help at all with herpes?

Try dissolving 3-4 aspirins in some water, making a paste, and putting it on the sores with a cotton ball--leave it on all night. It may sting at first but will help relieve the pain and dry out the blisters. Many people find it helpful.

Others find cold green or black tea (heat in a cup, chill) dabbed on the area helps a lot. Some people report a lot of relief with vodka, too! A bag of frozen vegetables or an ice bag really helps with any pain.

Not sure A&D ointment will do anything to help at all and may keep the blisters from drying out the way they should
