What is a herpes simplex virus carrier?
It means you have either Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) 1 or 2. HSV1 is typically cold sores and HSV2 is genital or below the belt although you can get either type in either place. If someone is asymptomatic it means they don't have outbreaks...but if you carry the virus you have the virus.It means that you have either HSV1 or HSV2 on either the mouth or genitals but you show no symptoms and or have no out breaks of it.Genital herpes doesn't affect everyone the same. Once we are exposed to genital herpes, the virus can live in our bodies for years without us even realizing it, which makes us carriers of the virus.
