Bacterial Vaginosis or Yeast infection?
symptoms of Yeast Infection and Bacyterial Vaginosis are different - you can check belowSigns of yeast infections:
White, cottage cheese-like discharge
Swelling and pain around the vulva
Intense itching
Signs of bacterial vaginosis:
A white, gray or yellowish vaginal discharge
A fishy odor that is strongest after sex or after washing with soap
Itching or burning
Slight redness and swelling of the vagina or vulvaYou need to take care of this immediately. For either a Yeast infection, Vaginosis, or something else affecting your lymph system in your groin area is very serious. Your lymph nodes are actively working overtime, so you have some infection throughout your body. This infection needs to be addressed. Do they have emergency rooms in Mexico where you could go to?
I suggest that Monistat would have greatly reduced the problem or cured it if it was a yeast infection, so you must assume you at least have vaginosis and treat for that as well as for any other type of infection you may have.
Have you have vaginosis before? Have you had a mild case and perhaps didn't know it? Are you using proper hygiene techniques like wiping yourself from front to back after going to the bathroom? These, and other questions need to be addressed also.
After your course of antibiotics, you should go on pro biotics for at least a few weeks and stay on them for all your life. My favorite is Jarrowodolphus plus FOS from Jarrow formulations. The probiotics need to kept cold or they die off in the bottle if kept or shipped in heat. (cold from the manufacturer to your home is best, but anything is better than nothing) and the capsule is less potent. I have been using this probiotic for over 15 years and it's great. I recommend it to everyone and even have your dog take it as it will help them have less gas. Available over the net and in health food stores.
the FOS is a Fruit based sugar which good bacteria thrive on and bad bacteria cannot eat thus reducing the bad bacteria population. The FOS is not as easily damaged by heat as the probiotics.
Probiotics are the way of getting your intestinal flora back into a healthy condition. Antibiotics damage this flora and noxious flora start to thrive giving you heartburn, gas, diarrhea,....
