Can you get herpes from drinking from someone that gave oral to someone that has genital herpes?

Technically, yes, it is possible to transfer herpes from one person to another by way of a moist object. However, it is regarded as very, very unlikely. Also, it doesn't sound like you even know for sure that this person contracted herpes. If they weren't displaying symptoms when they drank from the cup, it would be almost impossible to transfer it to you. Furthermore, while it is possible to get a genital herpes infection on your mouth, this type is not as likely to transfer to the mouth as it is to the genitals.
All of this adds up to my advice: Don't worry about it. Your chances of contracting herpes are incredibly low. Your chances of contracting anything else (from the common cold on down) are no different here than they woudl be for drinking after anybody else.
