Question for Doctors..I have had herpes, and want to know if I still have it? Do I get blood work done? ?

the blood work that is usualyl done for herpes between outbreaks is called serology.. testing for your antibody response to the herpes virus which will test positive forever as you develep latent IgG antibosies to HVS virus whcih doesnt usually go away unless someone has a bone marrow transplant so its not going to tell you if your clear of the virus sorry... i am a doctor and whilst we never say never and im sure its possible for some peoples immune system to clear the virus ..herpes is considered lifelong but outbreaks usually settle down over the years and usually only occur if you are rundown or your immune system drops eg during a flu etcYES you can have your blood tested...the skin swab is only when you have an active lesion. Let me know if the cure workedNOTHING gets rid of herpes, there's no cure, once u have it, u have it forever!

  1. I am very glad to be sharing with everyone here for the wonderful work DR.PETER has done in my life, for the past 3 and half years i was diagnosed of herpes disease and ever since i have been very unhappy, until one day when i came across a shocking testimony about how DR.PETER cured someone of his herpes disease, without wasting much time i contacted him immediately on his email address: (peterherpescurehome@gmail.com) and after i explain myself tell him about how terrible i have been, and he assure me that he will help me to cure my herpes disease, after he has prepared the herbal medicine he sent it to me and i started using it as he directed. Within 14 working days i was totally cured, i am forever grateful to DR.PETER for helping me on my herpes disease to be cured contact his email address: peterherpescurehome@gmail.com
