You may have transmitted the disease, and just not now it. There can sometimes be a 1-2 year incubation period with herpes virus.

It is possible to spread herpes, even without any signs or symptoms of an outbreak, so a condom is always recommended.

Also, I do hope that you are telling your partners that you have herpes, because, believe it or not, they can actually sue you. (It has been done, I swear!)

That last part is just to make sure you inform your partners of any diseases you may have, don't screw up their future, just for a fun present (no pun intended)

They don't mind if a vaccine is founded because the company who makes it (GSK) will probably own the rights to the vaccine!You haven't transmitted it because you've been carefull. The BS going around about transmitting it when you're A-symptomatic was probably generated by some doctor who's never had an STD. As for Valtrex, it's another pharmeceutical which probably has side-effects. Stay away from it!you cant know for sure that you havent transmitted herpes. some people that have herpes doesnt even know they have it. Everybody has different symptoms and some symptoms are slight irritation that gets ignored. I had a friend that had it and she thought she was just allergic to her laundry detergent and she found out she had it later on when she had a severe outbreak. As far as medication is concerned, ask your M.D. if generic is available for zovirax. Your insurance might cover generics and that is something you can look into.
