However, meds can help you make your life easier, I would contact a local Disease and Condition Center, not a regular doctor.Well have you gone to a doctor just try and wait it out or ask a local dr. Mine sound very similar to how you describe yours, but mine are not nearly as frequent as yours. My best recommendation is to see a doctor and get a prescription of Valtrex. The commercials always talk about using Valtrex for genital herpes, but it also works for cold sores (which, as you know, is also a form of herpes) It sounds like it would be a great option for you since you seem to get them so frequently. I know someone who was put on Valtrex for the same reason (large and frequent cold sores) and it totally took care of the problem. As for myself, I have found absolutely no relief from creams or ointments. Valtrex works wonderfully for bad cases such as yours.
