Herpes simplex is a virus that commonly affects humans I one of two ways: type 1 herpes simplex causes blistering on the face, typically around the mouth, and is also known as a cold sore. The type 2 form of the virus is commonly associated with genital herpes.
Infection with herpes usually occurs during childhood when a child's skin comes into contact with the herpes virus. This is when primary infection is experienced, and is similar to regular conjunctivitis. The virus then settles in the nucleus of a nerve cell (or several nerve cells) in the face, where it will remain dormant until such a time when subsequent infection may arise. It is still not understood what causes the virus to generate subsequent infections, but is believed to be related to when the immune system has been weakened e.g. flowing a cold or flu (hence "cold sores"). When the cornea is infected with the herpes simplex virus, the condition is known as corneal keratitis, and is usually part of a subsequent infection by the virus. Someone suffering with keratitis will experience pain, light sensitivity, blurred vision, tearing and redness in the eye and the feeling of something being trapped in the eye. Nerve endings can become bulb like and are detected using a fluorescent dye. This form of infection usually heals on its own after about a week. Deeper infection, known as stromal infection may occur, and sufferers may experience serious pain, uveitis, and vision loss. Deeper infections of the cornea are associated with scarring and vision loss can be permanent.Treatments usually include antiviral drops and anti-inflammatory drops, but oral antivirals and inflammatories may be prescribed for deeper infections. If corneal scarring does occur, a corneal transplant is usually suggested in order to restore sight. As herpes simplex is a virus, it never leaves the body and those infected with the virus will always be at risk of subsequent infections.

ReplyDeleteMy case was as worst as never can explain. I was bitten in pains and was speachless not being able to concive my own children. I cried out every night and sex became very frustrating and all the medical reports shows I was barren. This was a bad experience in my marital life and my husband family where worried of my inabilities to concive. My husband to every hosiptals seacking for solutions with the medical prescribed,but nothing positive could change for results. I'm David Mark. I had this feelings that they could be a cure to all this deathly and common Diseases. My case was admitted after a ran for my reqular monthly checkup and was shocked when I was tested Herpes Simplex Virus.
I thought this could be a way the wants be to keep patronizing them, Encouraging me to be taking in the antibiotics, the Acyclovir medicine, but wasn't comfortable living on drugs, the case was getting out of hand, affecting my job and life , sore keeps reappearing lots of nightmare thinking about my cure.
