Avoid green tea when you have herpes?

Really, what you eat and how it affects outbreaks is unique to each individual. Some people can't eat nuts, others can't eat chocolate, others can't have orange juice. It varies from person to person. Therefore, just stay tuned to your body and what foods trigger outbreaks and what foods don't.I don't know about green tea, but I can't eat chocolate. Chocolate and sugar really trigger my outbreaks. Chocolate is high in arginine and sugar depresses the immune system.

Things like oats and soy are also supposed to, but I could eat/drink them until they were coming out of my ears and they wouldn't trigger outbreaks for me.Read the link below... It tells you what foods might induce O.B.'s and what foods might reduce O.B.'s.

I love nuts and chocolate, but I continue to eat them even though they do effect my O.B.'s., because if I keep a good balance of the "good foods" along with the "bad foods" (that I love so much;) then the "bad foods" don't bother me at all..... they just cancel each other out. :)

.....like eating a candy bar + diet coke=no weight gain :D

Maybe you could give something like that a try, then your love for tea and soy might not bother you. Just eat some "good foods" after your "bad foods"....... If that doesn't work, you could always try taking the lysine supplements along with or before you indulge the "bad foods" and that is known to help too.
