If you have herpes zoster and you have sex with someone can they catch it from you?
Nope! They're safe. Herpes Zoster is also known as Shingles. It's related to Chicken Pox.
HOWEVER, if you are with someone who never had Chicken Pox, they could get chicken pox from your Herpes Zoster. Crazy eh?
I got Shingles the day my husband proposed to me, it's a family joke :)They could possibly get the chicken pox from it if they haven't already had them.Herpes Zoster causes Shingles and Chicken Pox.
It is a skin condition, causing ulceration over a well-defined patch of skin. Or sometimes it infects the Optic nerve. Anyone that has had chicken pox has Herpes Zoster for life.
It can be transmitted by skin contact with inflamed area. Generally that causes chicken pox in vulnerable people.
I don't think you have to worry about sexual transmission.
