Help i need a doctor to help answer this one? i need to know if these are symptoms of herpes?

I am a retired nurse epidemiologist in STDs so even though I'm not a doctor as you requested, when I was working for the health dept. in the STD program for 12 yrs. I had calls from local doctors asking what to treat a preggo with syphilis and hundreds of other questions. So I read and reread your question. I have heard your story hundreds of times and I still wonder why girls have unprotected sex! Do you not care about your health and life? Will obviously now you do now that you have something. I can not diagnose you on this website. You need to call your local health dept and find out if they have an STD clinic so you can find out what is going on. I know your self medicating the area but, I'm going to ask you to stop as you could make it worse. Going into a health clinic or Planned Parenthood to get checked out is embarrassing but, not half of embarrassing as waiting until its so bad that you beg someone to take you to the E.R. Less frequent, yet still common, symptoms include discharge from the penis or vagina, fever, headache, muscle pain (myalgia), swollen and enlarged lymph nodes and malaise.Women often experience additional symptoms that include painful urination (dysuria) and cervicitis. Herpetic proctitis (inflammation of the anus and rectum) is common for individuals participating in anal intercourse. After 2–3 weeks, existing lesions progress into ulcers and then crust and heal, although lesions on mucosal surfaces may never form crusts. In rare cases, involvement of the sacral region of the spinal cord can cause acute urinary retention and one-sided symptoms and signs of myeloradiculitis (a combination of myelitis and radiculitis): pain, sensory loss, abnormal sensations (paresthesia) and rash.Historically this has been termed Elsberg syndrome, although this entity is not clearly definedThe best thing you can do is go and get tested.

I've had this for over 25 years and a bath in epsom salt will help, lydocaine or any over the counter pain reliever. Herpes can happen to anybody and can lay dormant for years.
