Does this "rash" on my thigh look like Herpes?
your best bet would be to see a dermatologist because your gp sounds pretty clueless but then again skin disorders probably isn't her area of expertise.It appears to be herpes. Tests can only confirm that. You shouldn't have sex without protection or else you will always run the risk of transmission. There still could be viral shedding w/o the presense of lesions. Just play it safe and always be honest and upfront with potential partners. Honesty always wins in the long run. The doctor should have confirmed it with tests. You could have poison ivy for all she knows.That doesn't look like herpes to me. It looks like a fungal rash. You need to go to a dermatologist. There are different types of fungal rashes so you can't pick up any old fungal cream at the store.
