It sounds very much like a yeast infection. When you take antibiotics like cephalexin, the antibiotics kill off the nasty bacteria causing the infection as well as the GOOD bacteria inside your body (including your vagina). Loosing this good bacteria in the vagina gives yeast free reign to grow inside you, giving you thrush.

I took antibiotics for a recent UTI (took augmentin) and am experiencing the same issues.

I suggest you keep your appointment with the doctor for an STD screen, but in the mean time go to the pharmacy for some anti yeast treatment.

(Just so you know trichomonas is associated with green, foamy discharge. I think yeast is more likely)
