Could I have been exposed to herpes two years ago and still get a negative blood test result?

If you have antibodies in your blood for herpes then the test should give you some results by now.
It's possible not to get herpes. If the person who "exposed" you to the virus didn't have an out break (or if you never made skin to skin contact with an out break) then you would be less likely to get herpes.
