With medication, a condom, and not on an outbreak, how spreadable is herpes?
You can still give herpes even without an outbreak. They advertise that. Even with a condom, you can also, as it can be in a spot where it isn't.It's still contagious. You'd be better off buying female condom's. I think they cover all of the girls private bits. You don't wan to spread it. That's not nice but I can see why you're reluctant to tell or anything. Be careful and ask your doctor.If your taking the medication regularly then that should actually cut your risk of spreading it, even in between out breaks to less then 5 percent per year. If you're not on an out break then you only have a small chance of spreading it and it's even smaller since you take the medication. You should know condoms don't offer very good protection against herpes since they don't cover all areas of the genitals that herpes can affect. If you only use condoms and don't take medication then you still have a risk of passing it even in between out breaks. If you really do have herpes your partners should be notified before things get intimate.
